Alexis Stewart in contract to buy NYC penthouse after selling downtown triplex

Real Estate

Alexis Stewart, the entrepreneur and television personality daughter of lifestyle maven Martha Stewart, will call herself an uptown resident.

That’s because Stewart is in contract to purchase a grand Upper West Side duplex that was on the market for $13.19 million, Gimme Shelter can reveal exclusively.

The penthouse is inside the Belnord, located at 225 W. 86th St., which in a fictional life has gained fame as “the Arconia” in the Hulu series “Only Murders In the Building.”

This deal comes more than a month after Stewart put her West Village triplex into contract, which first hit the market for $53 million and will sell in the low-$30 million range, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The Belnord contract signing, but not the buyer, was first reported in Monday’s Olshan Luxury Market Report.

At the Belnord, Stewart’s six-bedroom, 6.5-bath condo is 4,637 square feet — and overlooks a lovely 22,000-square-foot interior courtyard.

It comes with a 27-foot living room, a gas fireplace, a library and an open eat-in chef’s kitchen. The main bedroom is upstairs, and boasts a 40-foot terrace. That retreat also features a large walk-in closet and a windowed bath.

Other touches include mahogany windows, and white oak floors with chevron and plank patterns.

The building dates to 1908 and was converted from a rental to condos, designed and restored by Robert A.M. Stern Architects. Building amenities include a porte-cochere, and the two-story Belnord Club with a gym and a double-height sports club.

The listing brokers are Douglas Elliman’s Maya Kadouri and Sabrina Saltiel, who declined to comment.
