Developer Don Peebles and his wife Katrina are selling their Coral Gables, Fla., estate for $14.9 million.
The Mediterranean-style, gated estate is known as Casa Arboles, or The House of Trees — thanks to a canopy of 88 oak trees — at 11501 Cutler Road.
The purchase price includes membership to Peebles’ historic Bath Club — he is the first African American member or owner of the Miami Beach club which he recently reopened following a top-to-bottom overhaul.
His 10-bedroom home is 15,688 square feet and was renovated by Ramon Pacheco and updated by KLP Interiors of Coral Gables this year.
It sits on 2.87 acres. The home features a chef’s kitchen, two offices and a board room with high ceilings, a marble fireplace and a sound-proof movie theater.
There are rows of French doors that open to a covered terrace and pool deck.
There’s also a gym and, outside, a pool and tennis court.
The estate comes equipped with its own generator.
The Peebles family purchased the property while it was under construction in 2004 for $5.45 million and they took over the construction and then the interior design, a spokeswoman said.
The listing brokers are Coldwell Banker’s Jill Eber and Judy Zeder.
