Chandler Bing now has a new home — but it’s far from his cozy New York City apartment and he won’t live there with Monica Geller or Joey Tribbiani.
Capping off a 2020 full of real-estate moves, “Friends” star Matthew Perry, 51, has just nabbed a roughly 3,000-square-foot cottage in Los Angeles for $6 million, reported Variety, citing sales records.
This newly acquired house, Variety noted as a downsizing effort, is more modest in size than his longtime home in Malibu, which he listed last week for $14.95 million.
That oceanfront Malibu property has 5,500 square feet. Perry also owns a 9,300-square-foot Los Angeles penthouse, listed for $27 million following an $8 million price chop, which he has been trying to sell since last August.
Located in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood, Perry’s new midcentury ranch-style perch dates to 1965, but recently underwent a renovation. The home’s most striking features include floor-to-ceiling windows that not only fully open, but also look out to wide views of the Pacific Coast and nearby Catalina Island.
Inside, there are oak floors throughout, a great room with living and dining spaces and an eat-in kitchen with a floor-to-ceiling wine rack. Two of the four bedrooms are master suites with sliding doors leading to pergolas.
Outside, the .37-acre grounds include a raised pool that looks out to the ocean, as well as a fire pit.
