This $55M Aspen listing comes with more than just a massive home

Real Estate

This Colorado ranch comes fully furnished — and with a number of fluffy current residents.

Just outside downtown Aspen, a grand compound has hit the market for the princely price of $55 million — a cost that includes not just an enormous main house, but also a variety of animals.

Moonshot Ranch delivers a lodge-style mansion with massive windows, beamed ceilings and an 880-square-foot garage — as well as five horses, five mini horses, two alpacas, two livestock protection dogs and fields aplenty. The animals, for their part, even make appearances in the cute listing images.

“Featuring wildflowers, ponds, untouched fields, and awe-inspiring, unobstructed views of the majestic Elk Mountain Range, Moonshot Ranch is a rare 10-acre property surrounded by over 200 irrigated acres,” Compass agent Steven Shane, who holds the listing, told The Post.

The estate was built in 1993 and has eight bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a spacious great room and a formal 14-person dining room spread over more than 9,200 square feet. The primary suite boasts a private deck.

On the grounds there are fenced pastures, a riding arena and an eight-stall, 2,500-square-foot barn with equestrian amenities such as a tack room and a wash area. Ranch equipment is also included in the sale.

The property has previously been listed as an all-inclusive, turnkey vacation rental offering guests access to not just the resident creatures but also multiple motorcycles, mountain bikes, barrel-racing lessons, and a chef and a driver to boot. The experience, according to old promotional materials, was $250,000 a week, with a two-week minimum.

Though astronomical, Moonshot’s current price does not put it anywhere close to affluent Aspen’s present record holder. That’s the Ranch at Owl Creek, which closed for $77 million in April, shortly after it was reported that hockey player Patrick Dovigi’s 4.5-acre address nearby was under contract for $110 million.
