Over the weekend, Sofia Richie wed music executive Elliot Grainge in the French Riviera.
The glamour, A-list guests and Sofia’s wedding dress(-es) were all show stoppers. But perhaps the location was the biggest one of them all.
Richie, 24, and Grainge, 30, rented out the entire five-star ultra-exclusive Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France for the event.
It’s so glam that one of the cheaper rooms there runs about $2,300 a night. Meanwhile, a junior suite comes at a cost of $3,750 per night all the way up to a villa, which runs about $32,000 a night.
In total, the hotel offers 40 rooms, 68 suites and three villas, which means that the newlyweds shelled out about $1.5 million for the weekend.
Each guest room is situated in three different locations around the property — in the original Villa Soleil, the Eden-Roc Pavilion with the sea right below and the more private Les Deux Fontaines residence.
Features include 24-hour in-room dining, and guests are offered complimentary electric buggies and bicycles to travel around the property.
The hotel has three restaurants, which includes the Michelin-star Louroc Restaurant. It also has six bar and lounge areas.
Amenities include a pool blasted out of the rocks and refreshed with natural sea water, secluded cabanas, tennis courts by swaying Alep pines — and fitness, yoga and meditation spaces.
The hotel also provides a small yacht for up to four guests for trips to Saint-Tropez, Cannes, the Lérins islands or Monaco.
Regarded as one of the greatest actresses of our time, actress Greta Garbo vacationed at the hotel. Kirk Douglas and royals also vacationed there.
It’s a tough hotel to reserve, with bookings already made well into 2025.
The model and British music executive said “I do” in front of family and friends, including Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton and of course, Sofia’s father and legendary musician, Lionel Richie, who walked her down the aisle.
For the main ceremony, the bride wore a custom Chanel wedding dress that featured an embellished train with white and iridescent beads. It also had her “something blue” sewn into it — an “S&E” with the date underneath.
Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc has hosted every season since 1870.
