A year after shelling out $9.8 million for a new family home in upstate New York, Richard Gere is trying to unload his other upstate property he purchased back in 1986.
The “Pretty Woman” actor, 72, listed his sprawling 48-acre compound in Pound Ridge for a whopping $28 million in October.
Nearly 35 years ago, he had purchased the land for only $1.51 million, property records reveal.
Known for his leading roles in “Pretty Woman” and “American Gigolo,” Gere is hoping to start over in a seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom North Salem abode after welcoming children in 2019 and 2020 with his wife, Alejandra Silva.
The main residence at the Pound Ridge compound — only an hour away from New York City — is made up of eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms and spans over 11,600 square feet.
Made up of five structures in total, with stables and a pool, the estate comes with 4,300 acres of protected land.
Pegged as a “magical country compound,” the property features a winding country lane as you make your way through the grounds and comes with a private lake with a sandy beach, and a separate island to row out to, according to the listing.
Other features include aesthetic views of rolling hills (reserved for horseback riding), a hidden soccer field and several mature plantings that surround the compound.
After buying his new colonial home last year, he dropped another $700,000 on a vacant neighboring parcel, which expanded the property to about 35 acres.
Gere married Spanish publicist and political activist Silva, 37, in 2018.
He also has a 21-year old son, Homer, from ex-wife Carey Lowell.
Muffin Dowdle with Ginnel Real Estate holds the listing.
Reps for Gere did not immediately return The Post’s request for comment.
The Dirt was the first to report the transaction.
