In a divorce, tying up loose ends can be even more tempting than turning a profit.
Formerly married “Magic Mike” actor Channing Tatum and “Witches of East End” actress Jenna Dewan took a $75,000 loss on their $6 million Beverly Hills home last month, accepting a $5.925 million offer on July 7.
Tatum, 41, and Dewan, 40, paid $6 million for the former home of Carrie Fisher in 2015 and re-listed it at the same price this May, as financial negotiations from their 2018 split drag on.
The $75,000 loss shouldn’t pose too much strain on the actor: Forbes last counted Tatum’s earnings in 2015 at $29 million — and that doesn’t include recent roles, including “The Lego Batman Movie,” “The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” and “Kingsman: The Golden Circle.”
The deal went to a Sacramento asset manager, who likely purchased the house for a client, whose identity is unknown.
Carrie Fisher’s house has “infinite possibilities”
The listing positioned Carrie Fisher’s 1990s home as an opportunity “to either develop or redesign.”
But for an “estate with infinite possibilities” — usually a broker’s way of saying “it needs work” — it doesn’t immediately appear to be in disrepair. Seller’s agent Rayni Williams with The Beverly Hills Estates did not respond to The Post’s inquiry about why the house needed work.
No permits have yet been filed for the property. Buyer’s agent Jennifer Mosley Puz of Sotheby’s International Realty Beverly Hills did not return a request for comment.
The home was built in 1949 and updated intermittently, permit records show. Some rooms appear to have been recently updated, but no permits were recorded during Tatum and Dewan’s ownership.
The Hamptons-style, cedar-shingled homespans 4,850 square feet across three floors with six bedrooms, six bathrooms, six fireplaces, two levels of wraparound decks and numerous balconies.
Inside, a covered doorway with sidelight windows opens to a two-story foyer. The wood-floored home offers a family room, a living room, a billiards room, an office, a media room or gym and a dining room, according to the listing.
The black-and-white tiled kitchen has a central island, a breakfast nook and paneled glass doors, photos show.
The primary bedroom suite is outfitted with a luxury bathroom, a walk-in closet and a tub that overlooks the pool outside, according to the listing.
The heated outdoor pool is accompanied by a Jacuzzi and a pergola with a stone wood fireplace.
The gated 1-acre lot has a long private driveway, a guesthouse, a two-car garage, gardens, lawns and oak trees.
Tatum, who also dated Jessie J, now lives in a $5.6 million Brentwood oasis, and Dewan owns a $4.7 million Encino mansion with fiancé Steve Kazee.
The pair, who met in 2006 on the set of “Step Up” and married in 2009, share an 8-year-old daughter, Everly.
