Sandra Bullock isn’t just an actress — she’s also a landlord (of sorts).
The “Miss Congeniality” star spent $2.7 million on a 2,800-square-foot Beverly Hills abode last month under a corporation called 2270 Bmd LLC and is expected to cash in on it as a rental property. It’s just one of her now 17-home real estate portfolio, reports Dirt.
We don’t know how much the rental will go for, but some of the “Gravity” actress’ other rentals start at $15,000 a night and can go up to $42,000 a month, according to Realtor.com.
That’s what you call “good bones”
Built in 1946, the house on Bowmont Drive sits on less than a half-acre and has a white brick and plaster-like exterior with sleek black trim. The three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom home has a custom-cut pool with a waterfall, a beautiful blooming garden, tons of windows and vaulted ceilings, according to the listing.
Inside, dark concrete floors contrast with the natural light pouring in from bay windows, French doors and skylights. The living room has a fireplace and a gorgeous reading nook with a large window. A wall of French doors opens into the backyard.
The kitchen has plenty of counter space and cabinetry, an industrial hood and a large bay window above the sink. The attached living room has a fireplace and a gorgeous triplet set of French doors, each topped with a semicircle window.
The owner’s bedroom suite has a fireplace, large bay window in an alcove and a luxurious marble bathroom.
Outside, an irregular-shaped pool is lined with stone and offers a three-tiered waterfall amid lush landscaping.
The photos are a little odd …
But you can’t miss that there are a few strange things about the house. The front door is flanked by poles that look like they could be from a staircase’s wooden railing support — though they also look like they could easily be removed.
The library is designed around a red accent theme. The built-in shelves are backed with red, matching the red acrylic chandelier, red-patterned drapes and red leather furniture.
And the listing photos are staged with zebra print furniture and acrylic chandeliers that are reminiscent of popular middle school locker decor circa 2005.
Even though some may find the photos egregious, this diamond in the rough will hardly need any work — just a few new sofas and a coat of paint in the library — before the 56-year-old “All About Steve” star can rent it out for luxury Beverly Hills prices.
Aron Kelman with Kam Realty Enterprises represented the seller, a local dentist according to LA property records, and Alan Long of Sotheby’s International Realty Sunset Strip represented the “Two Weeks Notice” actress.
More recently known for her role in the thriller “Bird Box,” Bullock has been building her real estate portfolio for years, most recently adding two homes in Malibu totaling $13.7 million, Dirt reported.
She is originally from Virginia, but the “28 days” and “The Blind Side” star also owns homes in Austin, Texas; Manhattan; New Orleans; Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Malibu and West Hollywood, plus an additional $16.2 million home in Beverly Hills. She previously owned a home in Sunset Beach, California, according to Realtor.com, and she sold her Georgia home for $4.2 million in January.
The “Practical Magic” star is currently working on Sony movie “Bullet Train” with Brad Pitt. She has been acting since her first movie in the 1987 thriller “Hangmen.”
Bullock was most recently known to be dating photographer and former model Bryan Randall. “The Proposal” star has two children, an 11-year-old son Louis and a 9-year-old daughter Laila.
