What Real Estate Taught Me About Self-Worth | Tina Caul | TEDxCaryWomen

Buying Real Estate
Why is it that we tend to overvalue the cost of things we own, like our homes, but undervalue the most personal things about us, like our time, our self-worth, our self-view? Citing a career in real estate and pricing homes as context for our own self-valuation, entrepreneur Tina Caul delivers a heart-felt and funny talk, asking “are you a shack or a mansion?”. Examining our tendencies to get stuck in a mindset of being “less than”, Caul offers insight on how to flip the script and see ourselves as worthy of all we desire. Tina and her husband Kevin founded their brokerage, Caul Group Residential brokered by eXp Realty in 2009. This one-time self described shack turned waterfront property, invites others to give themselves permission to step into their true value.
Raised in Detroit, MI for the first 30 years of life and then moving South in search of a warmer climate, she has a combination of Southern charm and Midwestern tenacity. Tina & her team work with individuals, investors, and developers interested in the city’s most valued properties. A high-touch broker known for her extensive market knowledge and her unmatched devotion to clients, Tina’s success is based almost exclusively on past client referrals. She earns the respect of her clients by working tirelessly on their behalf and by always offering them candid advice. As a licensed Broker, she continually invests time, money, marketing and negotiations techniques to grow her business.

When Tina isn’t working, she enjoys golfing with her husband Kevin, traveling, renovating homes and spending time watching her son play sports. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
