The Wall Street Journal reports that President Trump has expressed interest in purchasing Greenland. Situated between the Arctic and the North Atlantic, Greenland is home to approximately 56,000 people, as well as the U.S. military’s Thule Air Base. It also possesses considerable mineral reserves. It is not, however, for sale. The island nation, which is part of the kingdom of Denmark, released a statement saying: “Greenland is not for sale.”
