Luxury condos in Miami now offer on-site doctors for residents

Real Estate

Well before the coronavirus disrupted Miami’s condo market, luxury developers were pushing a cutting-edge amenity: on-site concierge medical services for residents. Now, with so many people avoiding crowded doctors’ offices, those forward-thinking wellness amenities have become hits with buyers.

The 126-unit, Piero Lissoni-designed Ritz-Carlton Residences on Miami Beach come with an exclusive one-year membership to Dr. Arthur Agatston’s private medical practice — worth about $12,000. (Agatston is the celebrity cardiologist, nutritionist and author of “The South Beach Diet.”) The program will give Ritz residents, who will pay between $2 million and more than $40 million for their condos, exclusive access to Agatston’s top physicians.

Meanwhile, developer CC Homes, one of Florida’s leading homebuilders, is giving buyers a booster shot via an exclusive partnership with Baptist Health South Florida. The deal will provide buyers at two of CC Homes’ developments — Canarias at Downtown Doral and Maple Ridge at Ave Maria — with Baptist Health’s Care on Demand virtual health-care services. Canarias has more than 300 luxury single-family homes and townhomes (starting at $550,000 for a 5,000-square-foot, three-bedroom home), while Maple Ridge offers a community of 3,000 planned homes, with prices ranging from about $230,000 to $430,000.

“We strive to create exceptional places to live that offer conveniences and uncommon luxuries,” says Andres Miyares, chief operating officer at CC Homes. “So we are offering our homebuyers premium access to this cutting-edge medical technology.”

Finally, at Downtown Miami’s Legacy Hotel and Residences, which opens in 2023, will offer a health and performance medical center on the eighth floor of the 50-story tower. The health center will offer more than 15 tests, tracking everything from bone density and lung capacity to gut health. Prices at the 278-residence, 255-hotel-room building will start at $300,000. Say ahh!
