JLL Grows Life Sciences Practice With New Hire

BOSTON – JLL has appointed Travis McCready as executive director and national practice leader within its life sciences practice.

Within his new role, McCready will partner with and connect local market teams throughout the US, as part of JLL’s life sciences strategy. He will additionally serve as an advisor to clients; providing the full spectrum of JLL’s life sciences real estate services.

Aiming to capitalize on the robust worldwide prescription drug market, which is expected to surpass $1 trillion by 2022, JLL intends for McCready to assist clients in optimizing their portfolios as they quickly develop COVID-19 related vaccines. With new life sciences hubs emerging throughout the nation, McCready will work with clients throughout the nation.

“Beyond COVID-19, we can expect to see robust long-term fundamentals within life sciences continuing to draw in venture capital, private equity and corporate investors, driving growth and demand for life sciences real estate,” says Roger Humphrey, division president of industries at JLL. “Travis has a wealth of experience that will allow him to capitalize on the industry’s growth and translate it into business success.”

With more than 25 years of experience at private, public and large-scale institutions, McCready joins JLL from the start-up medical research and development company, the Commonwealth Project, where he served in a strategic consultancy role. He additionally previously served as an advisor for the biomedical advisory and enterprise development company, TMA Precision Health. Prior to these positions, McCready served as president and CEO of the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center.
